Creating an Account in Home Access Center
IMPORTANT: In order to create an account in Home Access Center, it is critical that parent/guardian contact information is current in the district database and that an email and mailing address are included. Please ensure that these records have been updated at your child's school prior to beginning the Home Access Center account creation process.
Home Access Center is available only for parents/guardians. A single login will provide access to all students for which you are the parent/guardian. Each parent/guardian can create a separate log-in to access the child’s information, if desired.
To create an account, you must have a current, valid e-mail address and mailing address on file with your child's school. If you do not have an e-mail on file, please contact the school your child attends (if you have more than one child, you only need to contact one school and the information will be updated at all schools) and the school staff will enter the information.
If you do not have an e-mail account, there are many services (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail) that provide free e-mail account services.
By having an e-mail account on file, teachers will also be able to communicate with you.

Go to https://hac.cvsd.org Select the Home Access Center Login link in the right column. The log-in page seen to the left will appear. Since an account has not been established, click the word “here” in the bottom line of text.

Enter the parent/guardian’s First Name, Last Name, and City of Residency. As you create your account, make sure that the city name does not contain punctuation. Enter your Zip code. Select the Register button.

After the database processes your information, you will enter a username following this protocol: firstname.lastname (for example, mary.smith). If there is aleady an existing user with that ID, add a middle initial: (for example jeromeb.jenson) OR add a number at the end (jerome.jenson1).
You will also be asked to create two security questions. These cannot be changed. Click the Finish button.

Once a Username is entered and submitted, the system will generate a password which will be e-mailed to you.
To ensure this process, the email must be on file with the school associated with your child’s record for you, the parent/guardian.
