Screenings

Vision/hearing screenings:

I have finished the initial vision/hearing screenings for students in grades K-3 and grade 5.  Washington State law requires that students be screened a 2nd time if they fail the initial screening. I am currently working on the those screenings.  If your child failed the 2nd screening, you will be notified of the results by mail.

Vision/hearing screenings for new students continue throughout the year.

Scoliosis screening:

Scoliosis screening for 5th grade students occurs usually in February or March.  About a week prior to the screening, I will show a video that describes what scoliosis is and the screening process.  A letter will be sent home with the students giving parents the date of the screening.  If you do not want your child screened, you must sign and return the bottom portion of the letter.
