Greenacres Elementary Mission Statement
All children will learn at high levels when given adequate time and support.

Vision Statement
Greenacres Elementary is committed to creating an environment of high academic expectations, where all students with support and interventions, will reach high levels of achievement.  We  work collaboratively with parents and students using best practices to achieve success for all.

Belief Statements and Commitments

School Climate
Greenacres fosters a safe and supportive environment.  We help students feel secure through an open and accessible staff, counseling services, student study team plans, and consistent discipline. Professional Standards and Curriculum: All students will achieve academic success.  We learn and apply best practices gained through book studies, staff development, teacher collaboration, and instructional in-services in order to meet high levels of student achievement.

Standards and Expectations for Students
All students will meet high standards.  We utilize a variety of  assessments, to monitor student progress and provide feedback to guide instruction. Relationship to the Community: When working collaboratively with our community, we achieve optimal student success.  We involve parents and the community in a “shared role” capacity including, but not limited to, Math Night, Mother Read/Father Read, Curriculum Night, and Parent Teacher Conferences.

Differentiated Instruction
We deliver lessons that accommodate all learning needs and use activities that address differences and positively promote a child’s academic progress. 

Staff Relationships
We inspire life-long learning, encourage collaboration, and support one another.  We encourage positive and respectful relationships.  Through weekly collaboration with colleagues, we assess student learning as well as seek and implement effective teaching practices.
