Math

Math is the science of pattern and relationship.  Students in this classroom are encouraged to "Think Like Carl!"   Two-hundred years ago, a ten-year old boy named Carl correctly added 100 numbers in his head.  He did this by looking at the problem differently and finding a pattern.  We can all solve problems like "Carl" if we use our imaginations and look for patterns.

  As students in this class, we investigate relationships looking for patterns to use to solve problems.  We work to communicate our thinking with clear, understandable math language.   These are the tasks of a mathematician in this class.
