Administrator Awarded Prestigious Statewide Honor

Neva Ringwald, Central Valley School District Human Resources Director, has been named Honorary Member of the Year by the Washington State Public Service Employees (PSE). The award honors an individual who has demonstrated concern or special interest in classified employees or their issues, especially when classified working conditions have been improved. It is considered one of the highest honors awarded by the statewide labor organization.
Central Valley PSE President Jeff Cross nominated Ringwald for the award. “Neva is a person that truly cares about the classified employees of our district,” he wrote. “She shows a great amount of grace and compassion, something we don’t see every day.”
Central Valley colleagues largely attribute the success of the district’s Classified Professional Development Training Program to Ringwald. “Neva is always concerned about what is best and fair for all classified employees,” said purchasing department secretary Betty Foley. “Neva never complains but always has a smile on her face.”
Ringwald has been the Director of Classified Human Resources for the Central Valley School District since she joined the district in July 2002.
