More than 62 percent of Central Valley residents have voted to renew the district's expiring three-year School Programs and Operations Replacement Levy on the February 3, 2009 ballot. According to the Spokane County Elections Office, more than 13,300 voters approved the ballot measure of the 21,540 votes cast. Elections Office officials will continue counting any remaining ballots and will certify the election results on February 18. The ballot measure required a simple majority (50% + 1) to pass.
