U-High Successful in State Technology Conference!
Members of the University High School Technology Student Association (TSA) attended the Washington TSA 2011 State Conference in Bellevue March 24-26. The annual conference provides an opportunity for TSA members to demonstrate technical and leadership skills, network with others, learn about career and training opportunities and participate in competitive events. Expert judging by technology educators and industry representatives inspires the best from participants. U-High students placed in the following categories:
· Animatronics – Joseph Hall (1st place)
· CAD, 3D Engineering – Jacob Schwartz (2nd place,) Steven Van Keulen (5th place)
· Manufacturing Prototype – Team of Evan Moyer, Jacob Schwartz and Nic Splattstoesser (1st place)
· Technology Bowl Team – Evan Moyer and Nic Splattstoesser (5th place)
· Vex Robotics - Team of Joseph Hall, Evan Moyer, Nic Splattstoesser and Steven Van Keulen (8th place)
· Webmaster (website design) – Team of Evan Moyer and Nic Splattstoesser (2nd place)
