Transportation Department Presents Annual Employee Awards
Seven Central Valley School District transportation employees were honored by their co-workers during the department’s annual Staff Appreciation barbeque potluck, last week. Diane Hutchins (bottom right) was named Employee of the Year for “all her hard work and dedication as our department secretary.” Jack Teigen (bottom left) was voted Bus Driver of the Year for “being there for the students and helping others.” Bus Assistant of the Year is Roberta Churchill for “her love she has for her kids and how much they love her back.” Molly Best, Sharon Nichol and Susan Silva received the "Mechanics Pick" awards after getting the most votes by the mechanics for their helpfulness.
Coworkers nominated and selected this year’s award winners. In addition, Jeff Haynes was presented with a Perfect Attendance award for 10 years of service. About 100 transportation staff and family members were on hand to celebrate.
