More than 810 seniors from across the district will take part in graduaction ceremonies this month.
University High and Central Valley High will celebrate commencement on June 12 in the McCarthey Athletic Center at Gonzaga University. About 365 University High students are expected to receive their diploma during the 2 p.m. ceremony, followed by Central Valley High graduation festivities at 6 p.m. for at least 420 students. Barker High School held commencement on June 10 for 23 students at the school. All graduation ceremonies are open to the public.
Every student in the Class of 2010 has successfully achieved a rigorous set of four graduation requirements including meeting reading, writing and math standard on the approved Washington State Assessment (WASL/HSPE) or state-approved alternative, completing a culminating project and high school and beyond plan, as well as earning 23 high school credits. Congratulations to our talented students and amazing staff for providing dedicated support, every step of the way!
