Saul Haas Foundation
Grants totaling $330.00 have been made to assist needy students at Evergreen Middle School by the Saul and Dayee G. Haas Foundation. The vision of the Foundation is to help promising young people at critical times in their lives.
Our principal and counselor disburse the Haas funds by identifying students who need the support. Individual grants were for ASB Cards, sports fees, sports shoes, clothing and sports physicals.
The Haas Foundation supports schools to encourage students to stay in school, return to school, or get involved within their learning community. In 2006/2007, 646 private and public schools in Washington State received funding totaling $425,929.00. Over 14,000 secondary students in the state benefited from the Haas grants, according to Bonnie Hilory, Executive Director. The Foundation conducts annual fund raising campaigns, school matching grant programs, and provides an opportunity for individuals to adopt-a-school of their choice.
