7th Grade Science
In science we learn about all three main types of science-Earth, Life and Physical as well as the scientific method and metric system. We always begin the year with the scientific method and metric system so students can refer back to these skills in future units. We then move on to earth science and learn more about plate tectonics, earthquakes, and volcanoes. Next, we move into physical science and discover the parts of atoms and the periodic table. We also learn how different types of waves affect our lives. Finally, we finish the year off with life science by studying cells, classification and heredity. The different subjects give students a wide overview of all parts of science.
