Accelerated Reading Program

Your child is expected to bring an A.R. book each day to class.  Some means of obtaining books of "high interest" are as follows:

  • Public Library
  • Home Library
  • Mrs. Gonder's Library
  • School Library
  • Scholastic Books (I will be offering these forms this year)

Each student is required to take two A.R. tests each trimester and the score from each is added to Language Arts grade.  These books need to be within your child's Star reading level and taken at school on the CV School District's A.R. website.  This process is accomplished either in our classroom or in Evergreen's library.  I will give them constant reminders to read as I hope you will at home.

I will take the two highest scores on the A.R. tests.....

Read as many as you want, but make certain to read at least two per trimester

Accessing Accelerated Reader Books on the EMS Home page is easy!

If you are on the CVSD website viewing my homepage, go to the top bar and select:

This will bring up the books we have tests on labeled:  Our A.R. books.  They are listed by title or reading level.
