Participants will explore various augmentative communication devices/tools that support communication for students with significant disabilities. Participants will learn how to introduce an augmentative system into the classroom for functional communication at circle, centers, and in the school community. Participants will also learn the steps toward evaluating how to move to a more complex device to build literacy based on the student’s language skills. |
