Mrs. Lamon
Important Interviews

The students need to learn how to create interview questions and conduct interviews, so we are continuing this practice with reporters interviewing our math practicum student from EWU and our new student .

We have a new math practicum student teacher from EWU.  Her name is Miss Larkin.  She is a math major in college.  Her favorite subject is math and she wants to be a teacher when she graduates.  She enjoys outdoor activities.  Her favorite outdoor activity is back packing.

Here are some question we asked her, with her answers.

What got you  started  liking math?

  • In fourth grade I loved playing Around the World. I won a medal for doing math problems the quickest.

Do you have a favorite math teacher?

  • Yes. In seventh grade I had Mr. Austing.

What is your favorite math subjest?

  • My favorite math subject is algebra.

If you had a student who hated math, how would you get them to like math?

  • I would do fun math stuff with the student that didn't seem like math.

Do you like solving challenging math problems? If yes, why?

  • Yes.  Because I like getting out of my comfort zone.

Have you made any new friends while at Chester?

What are you planning to do for the summer?
