Each week our classroom will recognize one student. One bulletin board in the room is dedicated to acknowledging this person. (Look for the star below "We are Proud of...") During the week, each student in the class will write a note to the star of the week on a large yellow cut-out star on the bulletin board. This note will be thanking that person for being such an important part of our class. The star of each week can take their star home on Friday.
Part of being a star is to share what is unique and special about you. Please bring something from home to share with the class. This should be something special about you that you do not mind sharing. In addition, please bring your favorite picture book to read or have me read to the class. Also, please bring pictures to post on the bulletin board for the week. They can be family pictures, pictures of you as a baby, or pictures of you doing your favorite things! Each star gets to be the helper for the week, as well as having special privileges!
