Registration

To register at CVHS, the following information is REQUIRED PRIOR to scheduling an appointment.

  • TRANSCRIPT (unofficial) from previous high school.  CVHS will request the official transcript. If an unofficial copy of your student's records is not in your possession, request the previous school to fax an unofficial transcript to CVHS. An 8th grade student entering 9th grade does not require a transcript; however a copy of the student's previous semester's report card is required.
  • NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ASSESSMENT (NCLB) and/or STATE EXIT EXAM SCORES (Tests given in 9th grade or beyond to assess proficiency or mastery of learning.)
  • WITHDRAWAL FORM WITH GRADES from previous high school (if school is in session).
  • IMMUNIZATION record is required by Washington State law and REQUIRES that the student’s immunization record be updated and transferred to our  official form. If unofficial copy of your student's records is not in your possession, request the previous school to fax the above requested records to CVHS.
  • RESIDENCE VERIFICATION – All NEW and RETURNING students are required to have proof of residence (utility bill).
  • SPECIAL SERVICES PLACEMENT - students need a current IEP AND Evaluation Report evaluated by the CVSD school psychologist prior to placement in special education classes.  Any questions regarding Special Education may be directed to 228-5503 or the CVHS psychologist at 228-5116.
  • ALL information in CV’s STUDENT PACKET which you pick up at the Counseling Office must be completed (including parent & student signatures.)
  • Central Valley High School must be in possession of this information prior to the registration of your student.  Upon receipt of ALL of the required unofficial records, CVHS requires 48 Hours from time of receipt prior to scheduling the student for classes as Central Valley High School routinely verifies attendance and the discipline status with the student’s former school.
