Newspaper

This course teaches fundamental writing skills in all journalism genres. The vast majority of time will be spent in writing the following articles: hard news, sports, features, opinion and entertainment, using appropriate grammar, conventions and journalistic style. Opportunities will be provided to learn editorial duties, page layout and the writing/ designing of advertisements. Students seeking a career in journalistic or technological writing will find this course to be of great benefit. This class may be repeated with instructor's permission for elective credit.
