Delta Epsilon Phi
Delta Epsilon Phi is a national German honor society for high school German students. It is an academic honor organization whose members offer tutoring in German, organize and facilitate instruction in German to elementary and middle school students, ans assist with activities that are designed to promote the study of German at Central Valley High School. Each year one Delta Epsilon Phi member student is nominated for the Kathe Wilson Scholarship, which send a student to Germany for three weeks to live with a host family and attend a German school.
To be eligible to be amember of Delta Epsilon Phi, a student must meet all of the following criteria:
- Student must have completed three semesters of German at Central Valley High School or some other accredited institution
- Student must have a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA
- Student must have 3.6 GPA in German
- Student must show integrity and enthusiasm in activities related to German and its study
