D.E.C.A (Distributive Education Clubs of America)

Through D.E.C.A. a student learns about, gains skill and experiences the business world.  Students planning to seek careers in business and own their own business will want to join D.E.C.A.  They benefit from leadership development, a variety of career exploration opportunities, participation in community service, training from business people at conferences and seminars, and competitions at local, state and national levels.  Members are involved in mentorship's, job shadowing, business simulations, on-the-job training through employment and running the school store.  Community service includes Adopt a Family and Vanessa Behan Crisis Center fundraising. 

To be in D.E.C.A. a student must be registered in any of the marketing classes.  There are one-time dues of $10.00 and some travel expenses.  AN ASB CARD AND  SIGNED PRIDE-HONOR CODE ARE REQUIRED.
