Classroom Environment
Room C-120 - Where Everyone Wants to Be!
My room is located in the heart of Central Valley High School at the south side of the Commons. I affectionately refer to it as Grand Central Station because it is!
I hope my classroom is a place where students want to be and where they discover learning is fun. My goal in teaching is to help students find their passion! I want students to think for themselves and apply what they learn to real-world situations.
Practical and relevant, hands-on, minds-on learning - that's what my classroom is all about!

About Me
Born in New London, Connecticut, my family moved to Columbia Falls, Montana when I was two years old. I graduated from Columbia Falls High School (Go Wildcats!) after which I matriculated to Gonzaga University where I received my Bachelors of Business Administration in International Business. I also played basketball for four years at GU, which culminated in a WCC championship!
Thinking I wanted to be an attorney, I attended Gonzaga University School of Law and received a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree and began practicing law in Spokane at the law firm of Richter-Wimberley, P.S. However, the legal profession was just not for me. After five years of practicing law, I returned to school at Eastern Washington University and received my Bachelor of Arts in Education, thus finally finding my true passion - teaching!
I was so very fortunate to student teach for one of the masters of Marketing Education - Michael Laws - and he thankfully decided change careers too, thus began my teaching career at Central Valley High School in the fall of 2000.
In addition to my teaching duties, I am the DECA advisor (see the DECA page for more information!) and coach Track & Field (girls & boys long and triple-jumps).
I have been married for 19 fantastic years to Saint Duane. We have two wonderful children, Michael (16) & Molly Ann (13) and three sometimes wonderful dogs, Meg, Erma and Kirby!
