Classroom Requirements and Policies:
Attendance, tardies: Regular attendance is vital to your learning--this is a class that requires everyone's participation in order to meet the requirements. If you miss a class it is your responsibility to find out what material was covered during your absence and make it up in a timely manner. Each absence and/or three tardies will result in the loss of a day's pay!
Please be in your seat when the bell rings. If you are more than 10 minutes late without an excused pass from the attendance office, it is considered an unexcused absence, and a referral will be written.
If you have an excused absence, you have three days to make up the assignment and one day for each additional day absent. (Example: 2 days excused absence=4 days to make up the work)
You can obtain work when absent by emailing me at sjohnson@cvsd.org.
If your absence is unexcused, any work that is due or assigned on that day will receive a zero.
Class participation: Do not criticize or embarrass others. Respect the right of everyone to speak freely. When working in groups, do not disturb other groups and be a participating member of your group. Group work is graded and participation is a large part of this grade.
Permission and a signed planner are required to leave the classroom for any reason. Only one student will be allowed out of the class at any time. School rules regarding dress, cell phone usage, no music devices. Since our classroom is a computer lab, no food and drink will be strictly enforced.
