Antique Car Project

Situation or Problem:

Given teacher information from lecture, word, and powerpoint documents and materials supplied, design, produce working templates, and produce a sheet metal car according to stated specifications and using only certain materials.

Project Description, Design Brief or Purpose:
|
|
The teacher will give information by lecture and powerpoint documentation. The students will demonstrate knowledge and application of the design process by documenting the process using the given assignment sheet to create a flat layout on paper. Students will then use the paper layouts to make an antique car out of sheet metal using a box and pan brake, squaring shear, spot welder and hand sheet metal tools given materials that will meet specifications. They will also complete a word vocabulary list that demonstrating their understanding of the physical elements and tools used tocreate this car.
This assignment gives the beginning student the essentials in learning the basics in the design process, measuring, sheet metal flat layout, and computer applications.

Complete the paper layout, tool tests, and product. Correct until completed accurately meeting instructor and document specifications.
