Central Valley High School’s “Bear Bot 3”
Competes in the US First Robotics Competition

Students from Central Valley High School traveled to Seattle, WA for the Seattle Microsoft Regional US First Robotics Tournament the last weekend of March before Spring Break. The team’s robot placed 41st out of 64 schools participating in the event. The team designed and built their robot in only six weeks from two containers of parts. The construction occurred after school and on weekends. Stephen Lucas and Cody Crossley programmed the robot. When completed, the robot was crated and shipped by Federal Express on the shipping due date.

Ian Apted, Erik Beck, Cody Crossley, Robert Evans, and Erik Pedersen represented the “CV Bears III” team at the event.  Mark and Scott Crossen, and Austin Pruitt worked on the robot but were not able to attend the event. The event took place in the Seattle Arena.  To see more about this project, click HERE!

The three days in Seattle were intense and exciting for the students. The students are very proud of their robot and how it performed at the event.
