Computer Usage Instructions (how to use a Macintosh)
For instructions on how logon to the school network and computer setup click here (part 1 and 2) to download instructions. Software Usage Instructions
To take notes with this computer click here and save to your U (home>documents) drive. To startup Animation or Modeling software click here. To startup CAD software click here. To startup Presentation software for electronic portfolio click here.
Video Software setup
Open iMovie, Final Cut Express/Pro, Adobe Premiere. Change it save location by clicking save as to the Video Data file on your local hard drive. Make a new folder with your name and period. Note; your file will remain on that computer however, the rest of your files will travel from computer to computer.
Render Farm (Blue Bear One.38) Animation
Go to system preferences and ten to logon and click startup from the menu, add C4D client from the menu in the applications which can be found in the Maxon folder. Check the box so in can be started upon logon. To enter the web site click here.
Click enter and type student for user and student password. Type name of job and enter, this will give you a job in the jobs list, double click on the file and then up load where you can browse to your file and special textures. Once uploaded return to jobs and then click start, you can follow the progress or return to other projects.
