We use Canon digital and video cameras with the ability to burn DVD’s for various productions we do during the year.
As fundraisers for Technology Student Association (TSA) Mr. Wardsworth's classes make sports highlight videos, DVD’s, digitally framed photographs, and limited quantity T-Shirts. We also compete in competitions for webpage design, film festivals, and the Washington State Photography Contest. Contact Alan Wardsworth if you are interested in having CVHS tackle one of your projects.
About Me
Mr. Wardsworth was born in Ruislip, England son of an Air Force Master Sergeant. He traveled the world finally settling in Oregon where he went to Jr./Sr. High School in Nyssa, Oregon. A three sport athlete in High School he specialized in track and field. His senior year after his family moved to Harrison, Idaho he became the first State Champion from Kootenai High School in the schools history. This made it possible for him to attend North Idaho College on a Track scholarship where he became sixth all time with a PR of 2.07 (6' 9 1/2"). An injury ended his high jump career at the end of his sophomore year. While he tried to make several come backs at the University of Idaho he finally decided to focus on his chosen career as a pilot. After endless hours of hanging around the airport and flying for the Civil Air Patrol, Mr. Wardsworth decided that a career as a corporate pilot wasn’t for him so he changed his major to Architecture. However, the thought of sitting behind a desk all day didn’t seem like a good fit. What eventually transpired was a teaching degree in Industrial Education where he could teach drafting and coach track and basketball. Later on in his career and with the integration of technology into public education Mr. Wardsworth received a Masters degree in Technology Education from the University of Idaho. Since student teaching at Coeur d’ Alene High School, Mr. Wardsworth has taught drafting, woodworking, metals, computer science, etc. at several different schools from small B schools to 4A schools over the last 20 years. Mr. Wardsworth has been a speaker at NCCE in use of computers for graphic design and video production and in 2005 he helped write the state curriculum for computer animation in the State of Washington. He currently teaches video production, photography, and computer animation at Central Valley High School and coaches the high jump. He lives in the Spokane Valley with the best Science teacher in the state and two wonderful daughters.
