Music

The music program at Broadway Elementary follows the learning expectations laid out by the State of Washington. This includes understanding and utilizing musical concepts and vocabulary. These are taught through the six elements of music: melody, harmony, rhythm, form, texture and tone color. Movement, singing, playing instruments, and listening are all components of student learning. In addition, there are units on multicultural music, seasonal topics, and stories. Each grade level will have a performance opportunity this year.
