Classroom Environment

The Title 1 Program is a preventive program designed to provide continuity of service for elementary students in grades K-3, identified as needing additional learning assistance beyond the core in reading and related language arts. It is tailored to meet individual needs. The Title 1 team composed of reading specialist and a paraeducator work with students 1-1 and/or a small group basis within the regular classroom in grades 1 and 2 and limited pull-out in grades K and 3. In grades K-5, an individualized program for ELD students is provided by the Title 1 Reading specialist determined by assessment results.

Schedule

Available Monday - Friday, 8:05-3:35. Phones do not ring in the reading center between 9:05-3:05, so please leave a message and I will return your call.

About Me

I have been teaching in the Central Valley School District since 1990 as a Reading Specialist in the Title 1 Reading Program. I have a masters degree as a Reading Resource Specialist from Eastern Washington University. I am dedicated to serving the needs of the staff, students and parents of Broadway Elementary.
