Grading Policy
Your child will be assessed continually throughout the school year. As teachers, we take a great deal of time and care in getting to know each of our students. We use the assessments to identify areas of strength and areas of potential growth in each child. As we assess our students, we use the following district guidelines: CVSD Grading Scale (PDF)Achievement: 4 - Exceeds academic expectations 3 - Meets academic expectations 2 - Progressing toward academic expectations 1 - Meets few academic expectations Effort:
4 – Excellent 3 – Good Meets expected requirements Prompt, neat, thorough, well-organized Attentive, active listener Dependable
2 – Satisfactory - Often meets expected requirements
- Often is prompt, neat, organized
- Often is an attentive listener
- Often shows interest in learning
1 – Poor - Does not meet expected requirements
- Lacks dependability and initiative
- Difficulty being prompt, neat, and organized
