Breakfast Program
A select group of Central Valley schools offers the National School Breakfast Program to their students. Breakfast is served at designated sites for 30 minutes before school, during the school year. Every breakfast is nutritionally sound, and planned with student health in mind. Breakfast is $1.25 per meal for Students. Students who qualify for reduced price pay just $.30 per meal. Applications for reduced price meals can be picked up and filled out at school locations or download the form online. Adult Breakfasts are $1.50. Breakfast program menu choices vary, but often include: - Cold cereal
- Milk
- Apple or orange juice
- Bottomless hot toast with butter, jam and jelly
Eating breakfast helps students to be more attentive, curious and productive through their day. Evaluations have shown better test scores, higher energy and fewer disciplinary issues among students who start off the day with a meal.
