Classroom Environment
My goal is to create a positive and safe learning area for all students. To achieve this goal we must work as a team. We will come together as a class to show respect and personal safety towards others. A major student focus will be on effort and responsibility for their school work. The result will be success in the classroom.
The result of poor choices maybe: school ZAP, strikes according to the 6th grade incentive program, class detention or referrals to the office if necessary. Students will be held accountable for assignments and behavior. Missing or incomplete assignments will result in a ZAP and decreased credit upon completion. In the case of missed work due to an absence students will be allowed one day for each day they were absent.
Students are encouraged to look at all math problems and science questions as a pattern, puzzle, and challenge. Problems can be solved in a variety of ways and finding all those possibilities can make learning more fun.
