Last Resort CVSD Childcare Options
Last Resort Childcare Ends June 12, 2020
While many parents are trying to find childcare options with school closures, parents should try to keep their children at home, if at all possible.
Alternate care arrangements are particularly important for our medical workers and first responders serving vital functions during this public health emergency. To support our state's critical infrastructure, our district will provide last resort childcare for K-5 children whose parents are healthcare workers, first responders, pharmacy workers, and grocery store workers, if needed.
Members of the healthcare workforce, as defined by the Washington State Medical Association, includes people who work in any setting where healthcare services, long-term care, long-term services and supports, or personal care are delivered. This includes, but is not limited to, hospitals, clinics, behavioral health centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and adult family homes.
First responders, as defined in WA RCW 70.54.430, includes firefighters, law enforcement officers and emergency medical personnel, as licensed or certificated by the state.
Four initial sites are available - Chester, Liberty Creek, Ponderosa and Riverbend Elementary schools. At the end of the form, please select the site that works best for you. Please note site locations may change, dependent on need.
Please complete the form below so we may plan accordingly. We will be in touch with further details as soon as we are able.
