We are excited to announce summer learning options for our high school students and some learn-at-home opportunities for elementary students.
High School Offerings
We are offering three unique opportunities for high school students to enhance learning during the summer break. We look forward to supporting student's academic growth and success this summer!High School • Online Credit Advancement • Grades 8-12
- Through Central Valley Virtual Learning
- June 20 - July 12, no classes July 4-5
- Courses: Algebra 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B; Civics; Current World Problems; Geometry A, B; Health; Fitness
- Required virtual orientation: A link will be emailed to registered students on June 18
- Fees: $300 per course; $240 for students eligible for reduced lunch fees; $180 for students eligible for free lunch. Additional fees may apply for grade improvement courses.
Credit Advancement Parent Letter:
Career and Technical Education (CTE) Academy • Grades 8-12 • FREE
- Discover thriving career opportunities, acquire credits & develop essential skills this summer. Students earn .5 CTE credit upon completion.
- Courses: Core Plus Manufacturing Skilled & Technical Sciences • Computer Science Business & Marketing • Biomedical Applications Health Sciences • Core Plus Construction Tech Skilled & Technical Sciences • Graphic Design Skilled & Technical Sciences • Intro Computer Science Business & Marketing • Photography Skilled & Technical Sciences • Engineering Applications STEM
- Classes are offered based on enrollment. If certain courses do not have enough students enrolled, we may offer you a different course.

- June 25 - July 12, Mon-Fri, 8am-3pm, no school July 4-5
- Breakfast served 7:30-8am
- Lunch served 11:30am-12noon
CTE Summer Academy Parent Letter:

- Location: Central Valley High School, 821 S Sullivan Road
- June 25 - July 12, Mon-Fri, 8am-12noon, no school July 4-5
- Breakfast served 7:30-8am
- Lunch served 11:30am-12noon
- Mandatory parent & student meeting: June 24 at 6pm in the CVHS Theatre
